HONORABLE MENTION – 2021 PASEO ART ASSOCIATION – MEMBER ARTISTS’ SHOW

“If these limbs could talk”, or better, “If we could just hear them talk”? The Bristlecone Pine, Pinus longaeva, is one of Earth’s oldest living things. My inspiration for doing this painting is how Max Foster, the photographer of the image I referenced for this painting, captured the beauty of the age-ed, the grandeur of endurance. Many might see a wiry, twisted, other-worldly and battered time traveler. I see the beauty of an ancient sojourner whose wisdom we might not even begin to fathom.
